Gary is out in West Sacramento riding the Sacramento River Train. The Sacramento River Train is celebrating their grand re-opening on Sunday, April 10 after a 1.5 million dollar remodel of its cars and restoration of its tracks.

The free event will offer 30-minute train rides on the River Train's new cars, live music and free family entertainment -- the Culinerdy Cruzer food truck will also be on site.

Train rides will be running every hour on the half hour from 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. To reserve a spot at a specific boarding time, call the River Trains ticketing office at (800) 866-1690 or reserve your spot online.

In the future, RiverTrain Excursions will run twice weekly, allowing them to share the joy of railway travel with Sacramento locals and visitors alike. The Sacramento RiverTrain's new train schedule will also feature both a Beer Train and an Old Vine Express train each and every month.
