El Dorado Couny Sheriff’s Office Needs Help ID’ing Pair Accused of Stealing Car, Credit Card

EL DORADO COUNTY — The El Dorado County Sheriff’s Office is asking for help identifying two people accused of stealing a car and wallet and charging thousands of dollars to a credit card in El Dorado Hills.

The male suspect is believed to have stolen keys and a wallet from the locker room at the El Dorado Hills Sports Club, according to the sheriff’s office. The suspect then allegedly stole the victim’s BMW and left it parked in a Nugget Supermarket parking lot.

The male and female suspects were then seen on surveillance heading into the Target store. Both suspects used the victim’s credit card to go on a $2,000 shopping spree, deputies said.

The credit card was used to purchase an iPad and a large amount of women’s clothing. The female suspect also used the credit card to buy a Starbucks drink for the road, according to the sheriff’s office.

As deputies arrived on scene to investigate, the two suspects were caught on surveillance circling the Target parking lot in a silver Nissan, according to the sheriff’s office. The male suspect was also seen allegedly hiding something int he bushes, which was later found to be the victim’s stolen car keys.

The victim’s wallet was also found near the Nugget Supermarket.
