An iron trellis that was stolen from the McKinley Park Rose Garden has been recovered.

Media coverage led to an anonymous tip to Friends of East Sacramento that the stolen trellis had been used as part of a backyard wedding in north Sacramento on Saturday.

The tipster said some people at the wedding were bragging about the trellis being stolen.

Friends of East Sacramento was able to track down wedding photos on Facebook  and told police.

Police drove around the neighborhood in order to find the exact yard. The trellis was tall enough to be seen over the top of a fence.

The trellis was taken back to McKinley Park and will be reassembled.

The estimated cost to replace the trellis was about $6,000.

Police are still trying to determine who was involved in the theft.
