STOCKTON — A Crime Stoppers tip led to the arrest of a known sex offender on Sunday, according to the Stockton Police Department.

The anonymous tipster told police that Ronald Lamar Harris, 49, was at a residence on Church Street near South McDonnell Avenue.

Officers went to the home and found Harris hiding in a kitchen cabinet. He was taken into custody without incident.

Harris was booked into the San Joaquin County Jail on a $200,000 felony warrant for being an “absconded” sex offender — meaning law enforcement authorities had lost track of him.
