WALNUT GROVE -- A family is frantically searching for a dad and his little girl. They said the two were on their way from Antioch to Sacramento on Sunday night, and no one has heard from them since.

Family told FOX40 it is out of character for dad, Kyler Jackson, to not be in touch when he has his 1-year-old, Kaylee. They said he's not running from anything, but now they fear the two are in danger or worse.

"I've been praying on my knees that God brings them to me," said Kaylee's mom, Jayonna Mason.

Mason said they would have taken Highway 160, a windy and notorious stretch of road that runs along the delta to Sacramento. She worries the car went into the water.

On Tuesday, the Coast Guard searched part of the river. They tell FOX40 there's no indication a car went into the water, but that's not stopping the family from continuing to look up and down 160 starting in Walnut Grove.

They're spreading the word and handing out fliers to people and businesses hoping someone has seen them or the 2002 gray Ford Taurus with license plate number 4WVW944 they were in.

"We're not going to stop until our voice is heard because this a very serious case," said Kaylee's aunt, Lakisha Mitchell.

The Sacramento Police Department is working with the Antioch Police Department in this missing persons case. Sac PD said because there are a number of potential areas the two could be they don't have a good starting point for their search. They're looking for leads in the case.
