Man Breaking Down Stages Following BottleRock Festival Dies in Workplace Accident

NAPA — A worker breaking down stages at Napa Expo following last weekend’s BottleRock Festival died on Tuesday, according to the Napa Fire Department.

A beam adjacent to the main stage fell on a 35-year-old man in the workplace accident, the fire department said.

The man has not been identified.

Fifteen people from the Top Production crew who were at the scene were able to lift the beam off the worker. They attempted life-saving measures until first responders arrived on scene.

Event organizers released the following statement:

“At this time an investigation is still ongoing. We are devastated by this news and our hearts go out to the family and friends of the deceased,” Latitude 38 Entertainment said.
