YOLO COUNTY -- Two grass fires broke out in Yolo County Monday afternoon within minutes of each other.

One scorched nine acres and destroyed a home in a Dunnigan neighborhood along County Road 88A.

The second fire burned in Woodland near East Beamer Street, about 20 miles south of the Dunnigan incident, blackening at least eight acres of a farmer's hay field.

Both fires are under investigation.

No injuries were reported.
