VACAVILLE — Vacaville Police say a man with handcuffs, an unregistered handgun and body armor was following a woman late Sunday night.

Officers got a call from a woman about being followed, and dispatch told the woman to drive to a police station, according to a post on the Vacaville Police Facebook page.

The man, later identified as 34-year-old Ronald Aton, followed her to the police station.

Police say Aton had a loaded, unregistered handgun, a pair of handcuffs and a ballistic vest. His intent was not immediately clear.

Investigators say they don’t believe this was an isolated incident.

Aton was booked on a number of weapons charges.
