Workers showed up for an 8 a.m. meeting unaware of the topic, and were seemingly blindsided by the news that the location was closing.
One employee told FOX40 that no explanation was given for the closure at the meeting.
According to a statement released by Farrell's, the closure came after the chain could not come to a lease agreement with the property owner.
The Watt/Arden location had already been removed from the chain's website Monday morning. It had only been open for two years.
The Rancho Cucamonga location was also closed.
