Spare Tire Trouble

Many brand new cars today are not equipped with a spare tire anymore. Many people don't realize that fact, and it may come as a big surprise when you find out the hard way.

Bethany is outside with John from Red Rocket Auto Tech learning about a new tool that can save you if you get a flat but don't have a spare.

The spare tire has become a victim in the vehicle weight reduction campaign so that it is easier for a car maker to accomplish target fuel economy standards. So, instead, your car may come with a flat repair kit.

o Sealant is to be sprayed into the tire (through the valve stem) to "patch" the air leak

o Then use the compressor to pump up the tire
