Firefighters Make Progress Battling Saddle Fire

PARADISE -- Containment on the 850 acre Saddle Fire in Butte County rose from 10 percent to 37 percent Tuesday, according to Cal Fire.

Three Paradise homes were destroyed by flames shortly after the fire broke out on Labor Day.

Investigators determined the Saddle Fire started as five separate fires along Pentz Road. The exact cause is under investigation.

Three hundred firefighters are assigned to the incident.

No injuries have been reported.
