SACRAMENTO -- A stalled Union Pacific train has stalled on the tracks along 19th Street, effectively cutting Midtown Sacramento in half.

Police suggest using the Cap City Freeway to bypass the train. The affected area stretches from U Street to C Street.

The train appears to have stopped after cars became detached from one another. Police say the train began to move again around 10:30 a.m.
