WILLIAMS -- Crews are investigating a deadly crash on Frontage Road in Williams that occurred just before 6 a.m. Wednesday.
It is reported that a woman driving a Nissan sedan was driving behind a tractor headed south. The driver attempted to pass the tractor and was involved in a head-on collision with a tomato truck traveling northbound.
The momentum of that accident pushed her vehicle off the road and into a tree.
The truck went into a ditch creating a small grass fire that was put out quickly.
The female driver of the sedan is the only fatality of the accident. The truck driver suffered minor injuries.
Frontage Road between Meyers Road and Highway 5 will remain closed during the investigation and clean up.
