Rancho Cordova Police Report Uptick in Tire Slashings

RANCHO CORDOVA — In the past month, the Rancho Cordova Police Department said they have noticed an increase in tire slash vandalism cases in the Mills Ranch area.

There have been 18 cases of tires being slashed in the area of Forestlake Drive and McGregor Drive. Vehicles parked on the street and in driveways.

In one instance, a witness saw a white man about 30 years old, standing about 5-feet-9-inches tall and weighing about 220 pounds wearing a black hoodie slash the tires on two cars.

Many of the tire slashings have happened on Friday nights between 2 a.m. and 6 a.m.
