VACAVILLE — A San Jose woman has been arrested on suspicion of embezzling thousands of dollars from the Fairmont School Parent Teacher Club in Vacaville, according to police.

The group’s vice president, 42-year-old Jennifer Lopez-Day, was arrested Tuesday in San Jose.

Vacaville Police say evidence showed Lopez-Day making $23,000 in personal purchases — using money from the PTC bank account.

The PTC said it’s made up of volunteers who help the Fairmont School using money made through fundraising and donations.

Lopez-Day was booked into jail for grand theft.
