Fire Crews Rescue Hawk Stuck Upside Down in Elk Grove Home’s Rain Gutter

ELK GROVE — Crews from Sac Fire and Cosumnes Fire rescued a hawk at a home in Elk Grove on Tuesday.

The hawk was caught on a leaf gutter guard and was found hanging upside down by the homeowner.

Crews were able to remove the gutter guard, lower the hawk to the ground and untangle his talons.

The hawk stood up and then flew safely away.
