MODESTO — One person was killed and two others were injured Saturday in stabbings at a Modesto night club.

Officer Billy Boyle of the Modesto Police Department reports that an unknown number of suspects fled the scene around Shadow Lounge on Oakdale Road and Sylvan Avenue prior to the officers arrival at around 12:15 a.m. Two victims were discovered by police and transported to local area hospitals.

One of the victims, a 35-year-old man, died from critical injuries. The surviving victim found by police sustained non-life threatening injuries. A third victim arrived at a local hospital later in the day.

Detectives are investigating the stabbings; no suspect descriptions have been confirmed by the Modesto Police Department.
