Home Invasion Robbery Suspect Shot to Death by Resident

VALLEJO — A home invasion robbery suspect was shot and killed by a resident in Vallejo on Monday afternoon.

Vallejo police responded to a home on Reynard Lane about 4:30 p.m. to investigate a reported home invasion robbery.

The resident of the home called 911 after he heard an intruder kick in the front door of his home and come inside, police said.

The suspect, who was later identified as 31-year-old Lamonte Williams, confronted the resident, who had armed himself with a gun in fear of his life, police said.

The resident, a 27-year-old man shot the suspect several times and then escaped from a second-story window.

The suspect was transported to an area hospital where he died from his injuries.
