The Kings sunk 389 three-pointers this season.
Friday, the Sacramento Kings Foundation, Green Acres Nursery and Legends Hospitality made their first stop in the "City of Threes" event -- the Mack Road Valley Hi Community Center in South Sacramento.
"It was really fun to root on those Kings this year, as they were draining threes," Kings announcer Scott Moak said. "Anthony Toliver made quite a few at Golden 1 Center, the most actually."
Fifty-two, to be exact. A close second was Demarcus Cousins with 48 and Ben McLemore came in third with 46.
"We all know trees provide such a value to our society for a lot of reasons. For air purifications, ground water prufication, property values and gathering places for local communities, and this is a perfect example of that," Green Acres' Tami Kint said.
So starting this Arbor Day, the Sacramento Kings hope to call the City of Trees the "City of Threes."
