‘Heat Burst’ Recorded Overnight in Vacaville

VACAVILLE — Temperatures shot up to 95 degrees around midnight Thursday in Vacaville, meteorologists said.

The weather phenomenon is known as a heat burst. Heat bursts are known to happen during nighttime as thunderstorm conditions decay.

Temperatures at 8 p.m. were in the low 80s before briefly shooting back up later that night.
