Red Flag Warning Issued for Much of Valley over ‘Critical Fire Weather Conditions’

SACRAMENTO — A Red Flag Warning was issued Sunday due to “critical fire weather conditions” in much of the Sacramento Valley.

Wildfire risk is worsened whenever gusty winds and low humidity combine with warm temperatures. The warning lasts through Tuesday morning.

The affected area stretches from just north of Stockton to an area south of Mount Shasta. The area also includes parts of the Bay Area and the Sierra.
