Stanislaus County Detectives Seek Help in Homicide Investigation

MODESTO — Detectives with the Stanislaus County Sheriff’s Department are asking for the public’s help after a body was found a month ago in a creek in a rural part of Modesto.

Deputies responded to a call Nov. 18 about a body in Ingram Creek, off McCracken Road. The description of the victim was vague, only that he was Hispanic, between 19 and 25 years old and heavyset.

Detectives believe the man had been missing for a few years.

Officials say it was unclear how than man died, or how he ended up in the creek, but they are investigating the case as a homicide.
