PARADISE -- Newly-released body camera video shows perhaps one of the clearest looks of the Camp Fire moving through the town of Paradise.
The video includes part of the evacuation of the Feather River Hospital on Nov. 8.
Deputy Aaron Parmley was trying to locate people and help them get out. His cruiser became broke down, so he left it behind, started walking and activated his body camera.
Parmley told the department he turned it on to capture what might be the last moments of his life.
After several minutes, a bulldozer and a fire truck came upon a group and helped them leave the area.
The Camp Fire began the morning of Nov. 8, but the video shows just how dark the area grew from thick smoke, with an ominous orange glow.
