    TEHAMA COUNTY — Cal Fire has announced that a firefighter assigned to the Carr Fire was killed in a traffic accident Thursday morning.   • Man Dies Trying to Save 5-Year-Old Who Fell in Sequoia National Park River

    SEQUOIA NATIONAL PARK — A 22-year-old man is dead after he tried to save a 5-year-old boy who fell into the river while visiting Sequoia National Park with his family Saturday.   • Drunk Driver Caught Peeing Outside Stanislaus County Sheriff’s Department

    STANISLAUS COUNTY — Authorities in Stanislaus County arrested a woman under bizarre circumstances early Wednesday morning. The sheriff’s department says the woman was so drunk and lost, she pulled over to pee outside. But, unbeknownst to her, she was peeing at the main entrance of the Stanislaus County Sheriff’s Department parking lot. She was detained by deputies who witnessed the incident. The woman was evaluated and arrested for DUI.

  • Local DMV Offices to Begin Offering Services on Saturday

    SACRAMENTO — The California DMV announced they will be open for service on Saturday at select field offices. In June, 40 locations will begin offering limited services on Saturday in an attempt to ease wait times. On June 16 and June 23 the offices will be open.   • 26-Year-Old Man Shot, Killed in Rosemont Area Homicide

    SACRAMENTO — Authorities are investigating a deadly shooting in the Rosemont area that happened around 12:20 a.m. Wednesday. When Sacramento Sheriff deputies arrived to the scene near 9200 Lilibet Avenue, they found a victim lying on the sidewalk with multiple gunshot wounds.
