Sacramento Police responded to a hit and run near Freeport Blvd. and Blair Ave. around 3:30 p.m. The suspect, Louis Morales, 48, was taken into custody later for fleeing the scene of an accident and driving under the influence. • Man Approached While Pumping Gas Forced to Withdraw Cash at Bank

  STOCKTON – An 81-year-old man was pumping gas when he was approached by a man who forced him to withdraw money from the bank, then robbed him. The elderly man was at the Valero gas station on East Hammer Lane around 3:30 p.m. on Friday when a man with a chrome revolver approached him. • Man Arrested After Running Across I-5 with Young Son

  SACRAMENTO – A man was arrested after running across the freeway with his young son Saturday morning. Sacramento Police responded to reports of a man running across I-5 with a small child. Jeffrey Kuykendall, 43, allegedly ran across the freeway to the center divider with his 7-year-old son, waited for a break in the traffic, and then ran across to the other side. • One Dead After Car and Tractor-Trailer Collide

  STOCKTON – One person is dead after a car and a tractor-trailer collide near Martin Luther King Blvd. and South Airport Way on Saturday night. Just before midnight, Stockton Police officers arrived at the accident to find the driver of the car suffering from major injuries. The driver was treated by paramedics, but was pronounced dead shortly after.

• Carjacking Plot Foiled by Victim

  STOCKTON – Stockton Police say a 44 year-old man was in a parking lot near the intersection of E. Hammer Lane and West Lane Friday afternoon when he was approached by a man complaining of car trouble. When the victim got out of his car, the suspect tried to get into the car and drive away. Officers say the victim managed to get the carjacker out of his car before the suspect ran away. Investigators hope anyone with information about the attempted carjacking will contact Stockton Police.  

• Masked Men Rob Woman at Gunpoint

  STOCKTON – A woman was robbed at gunpoint near South Manthey Rd. and Carolyn Weston Blvd. shortly before 2 a.m. on Saturday morning. According to Stockton Police, the 41-year-old woman was loading packages into her car when two black men in their 20s approached her from behind – one wearing a white mask.   SACRAMENTO – A Sacramento Police Officer shot a man in the leg as he tried to run away with what appeared to be a shotgun. According to Sacramento Police, a team of Gang Enforcement Officers tried to talk to a large group of people near Arcade Blvd. and Johnston Park around 11:30 p.m. on Friday night.
