ISLETON — Investigators have arrested and charged three people after a man was beaten in Isleton back in February and later died from his injuries. On Feb. 10, a pedestrian was injured in Isleton in what was initially reported as a hit-and-run, according to the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office. TUOLUMNE COUNTY — Tuolumne County investigators believe the body of a missing Jamestown man was found in a wooded area. Deputies found Jeremy Allen’s 2005 maroon Ford F-150 abandoned in the area of Fir Drive and Mountain View Road in Sonora Wednesday afternoon, according to the Tuolumne County Sheriff’s Office. STOCKTON — Thirteen members of a Stockton street gang have been arrested following a monthslong investigation. The Stockton Police Department reports the investigation into the East Side Crips began in January with the help of the California Department of Justice and the San Joaquin County District Attorney’s Office. SACRAMENTO — A Sacramento-area attorney known for suing thousands of small businesses for Americans With Disabilities Act violations was charged Thursday with three counts of filing a false tax return. Federal prosecutors say Scott Johnson, 57, named himself a plaintiff in the lawsuits. The indictment alleges that Johnson did not claim money from lawsuit settlements on his taxes from 2012 to 2014.
