DAVIS — One person died Monday just outside of Davis when an Amtrak train headed to San Jose struck a car. Amtrak reports a Capitol Corridor train with around 99 passengers and crew members on board was nearing Davis around 12:26 p.m. after leaving Sacramento. At County Road 32A and County Road 105, the train hit a vehicle “obstructing the tracks,” according to Amtrak. SACRAMENTO — Deputies are investigating a shooting in the Arden-Arcade area. Sgt. Tess Deterding with the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office reports a call came in around 8:15 p.m. Sunday about two people who had been injured in a shooting on Arden Way near Bell Street. Deterding said a fight preceded the shooting, and both victims were shot in the upper body. Both were hospitalized with injuries that were not life-threatening. UKIAH — Two people were arrested Saturday after a Sacramento woman told deputies she was kidnapped then held against her will for four days and raped repeatedly. Around 11:35 p.m., Mendocino County deputies noticed a vehicle driving on North State Street in Ukiah that had multiple vehicle code violations tied to it, according to the sheriff’s office. MODESTO — Modesto detectives say they have found a child who was abducted by her mother and grandmother Saturday without permission from the girl’s legal guardians. The Modesto Police Department reports 4-year-old Aniyah Lewis lives with her paternal grandparents and was taken during a child custody visit around 3 p.m. Detectives asked the public to look out for Lewis’ mother, Aspen Vanloon, and grandmother, Dawn Patteson, as well as a gray Jeep Liberty. SAN JOAQUIN COUNTY — A boat crash on the San Joaquin Delta left one woman dead and at least five people injured. Two boats collided Saturday night around 7:15 near Ski Beach in San Joaquin County — a popular stopping point for boaters on the Delta. ELK GROVE — Lakes in the Camden Passage neighborhood of Elk Grove have tested positive for blue-green algae. The lakes are at Camden Park near the intersection of Elk Grove Florin and Bond roads. SACRAMENTO — Officers responded to reports of illegal sideshows in downtown Sacramento Thursday night. Sacramento Police Lt. Marnie Stigerts told FOX40 around 400 to 500 cars were near W and 8th streets before leaving the area and heading north.
