FOLSOM — Folsom police are searching for three thieves who stole $20,000 worth of jewelry from Kay Jewelers Outlet early Sunday. Melanie Catanio with the Folsom Police Department reports the alarm company alerted officers to people inside the Folsom Premium Outlets store around 1:51 a.m. An older model, white pick-up truck was backed into the store, allowing the thieves to get inside, where they began smashing display cases. ARDEN-ARCADE — Howe Avenue Elementary School was placed on lockdown Monday morning as police searched for two suspects in the Arden-Arcade area. Sacramento County Sheriff’s deputies tried to stop two suspicious teenagers in a vehicle behind a business on Howe and El Camino avenues. STOCKTON — Police say floodwaters took over several streets in Stockton, leading to road closures in the area Sunday afternoon. SOUTH NATOMAS — Sacramento police are investigating after two people were shot, one fatally, in South Natomas. Just before 2:30 p.m., two males, whose ages have not been reported, were shot in the area of West El Camino Avenue and Stonecreek Drive, according to the Sacramento Police Department. SACRAMENTO — A Caltrans tripod was stolen Thursday in Old Sacramento before it was thrown through the windshield of a van traveling on Interstate 5, injuring the people inside. The van was a shuttle for Military Families Support Group. “I was picking a veteran up from the Sacramento Airport heading to Mather to pick up another veteran.
