Watch Live: President Donald Trump Impeachment Hearing

My job as a web producer at FOX40 is my first job in a newsroom, but it honestly doesn’t feel too different from my previous work. I grew up on a vineyard in Galt and spent the majority of my life working on it. I attended Christian Brothers High School in Sacramento, and I was the Sports Director at KDVS 90.3 FM before graduating from UC Davis in 2013.

Growing up on a vineyard in Galt, I had to do a different job every day. I needed to be ready for anything unpredictable to happen while keeping my eyes focused on long-term goals. The fast paced and difficult work in a newsroom is eerily similar in a lot of ways. I kind of feel groomed for what goes on here, because it’s the only kind of work I know.

Why FOX40…
My family was fortunate enough to have season tickets to Kings games at Arco Arena from 1998 to 2007. When I was a kid I would rush home to watch the highlights after the game, still covered from head to toe in Kings gear. I still remember how much more well-rounded Jim Crandell’s coverage of the games was, and FOX40 became the channel I turned to for the rare times I didn’t catch a game. Ever since then FOX40 has had a special place in my heart, and I feel really honored to work here.

I’m known around the newsroom for…
Talking about sports way too often and way too loudly, as well as bringing in blueberries from my parents’ organic blueberry farm. I’m also very proud to be a UC Davis Aggie.
