Mason Mauro makes a cross-county trek to join the Fox 40 Team as a reporter.
Mason comes to Sacramento from Tampa, Florida, where he spent extensive time covering the nation’s hottest housing market and the Tampa Bay Lightning’s run to the 2022 Stanley Cup Finals.
Mason began his career in television news after graduating from Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa, where he grew up. An Iowa native, Mason joined KTIV in Sioux City, IA in 2016, where he covered news and sports.
Mason also worked as a reporter in Omaha, Nebraska, where he covered the College World Series, and Tulsa, Oklahoma during the centennial anniversary of the Tulsa Race Massacre.
Mason is a newcomer to Northern California and he can’t wait to discover all the unique restaurants, top-tier coffee shops, and hiking terrain the area has to offer. He is also an avid sports fan, so whenever Mason isn’t working, there’s a good chance you’ll find him at Golden 1 Center watching the Kings and Keegan Murray (Go Hawks!).
