Doctor discusses barriers to breast cancer treatment

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

While breakthrough treatments are improving breast cancer survival rates, Black, Latinx and low-income women are being left behind.

They are least likely to get breast screenings, more likely to experience treatment delays and most likely to be diagnosed with late-stage disease.

Dr. Ananth Ravi, Ph.D., the chief science and clinical officer with MOLLI Surgical, joined Mae to offer some perspective.
