Nikki Laurenzo talks to former Stockton Mayor Michael Tubbs and Oakland Mayor Libby Schaaf about giving residents guaranteed income.

“We saw that people also didn’t stop working. People were actually more likely to be full-time employees,” Tubbs said.

“Poverty is not a personal failure. It is a policy failure,” Schaaf said.
