This week Bethany and Gary are in Stockton checking out some cool community events!
Gary is out at the 20 acre Open Air Mall Wilson Way Flea Market spending some cash. Shoppers can find a deal at this outdoor mall every Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 6 a.m. – 5 p.m. This flea market has been a tradition for over 20 years.
Gary also runs into famous MMA fighter Jennifer “Rosebud” Tate ate the market while checking out the gadgets and food.
Bethany is at University of the Pacific checking out its Black History Month activity – Gospel Fest 2016 featuring Grammy winner and musical icon Kirk Franklin. Randall Ogans and his committee are pumped to have numerous talented musicians participating in tonight’s worship experience.
Glen Abrescy, Bahala Na Multi-Style Escrima Club, is at the University of the Pacific with Bethany explaining the art of Escrima – a Filipino art. Bahala Na Multi-Style promotes Filipino cultural awareness and serves the community of Stockton by conducting self defense workshops and weekly Escrima lessons free of charge.
Bethany is also checking out the Little Manila Foundation at the University of the Pacific. Hear what Brian Batugo has to say about the vibrant culture and their traditional dance.
