Interview: Securing Washington, D.C. for the inauguration


Getting Washington D.C. ready for Wednesday’s inauguration would have been a feat under normal circumstances.

But after the deadly siege of the Capitol, thousands of National Guard troops and other officers were mobilized to guard the city and the nation’s leaders.

Sonseeahray spoke to Maisha Goss Johns, a former Foreign Service officer familiar with D.C., about what it has been like in the district.
