Interview: The Great California ShakeOut

At 10:15 a.m. Thursday, you may have gotten a test alert on your phone as part of the Great California ShakeOut, used to get everybody familiar with the state’s earthquake warning system.

Earthquake Warning California is the country’s first publicly available, statewide system that could give residents the crucial seconds needed to take cover before the shaking starts.

Sonseeahray spoke to California Office of Emergency Services spokesman Jon Grudel about the test.
