Rep. Ami Bera discusses Capitol riot investigation one year after event

Morning

(KTXL) — Thursday marks one year since the deadly Jan. 6 Capitol insurrection.

The mob’s goal was to stop Congress from certifying the Electoral College votes that would make Joe Biden the 46th president of the United States

Mike Pence had been presiding over the ceremony in the House chamber where lawmakers were gathered to hear the certified results from all 50 U.S. states and the territories.

Hundreds of arrests have been made, and dozens have been sentenced for their crimes. But, many in Congress still demand accountability from those who stoked the crowds.

Representative Ami Bera, D-CA 7th District, joined Richard to discuss the latest.
