Kimberly is outdoors at Capitol Park with some elementary school students learning all about biodiversity.

A BioBlitz is an event that focuses on finding, identifying and documenting various species of plants, animals, fungi and other organisms located in a specific geographic area. Local scientist, families, students, teachers, and other community members are encouraged to work together to help map out the ecological diversity of a given area.

Students Participating  in BioBlitz exercise their observational skills while learning about t biodiversity in their are. Hands-on events like BioBlitz motivate students to learn while advancing the real-world scientific objectives of the National Geographic.
