Arrest Made After “Brutal Attack” in Carmichael

A 65-year-old man was stabbed and killed in Carmichael, the suspect was arrested.


A 65-year-old Carmichael man was stabbed and died in what the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Department is calling a “brutal attack.”

It happened inside the man’s home on Coyle Avenue late Wednesday night.

Police arrested 26-year-old Kenneth Azlin, after neighbors told police they saw him leaving the home.

Investigators say Azlin is a relative of the victim’s wife.

Azlin was found within minutes nearby at Coyle Avenue Elementary School, along with what investigators say is the murder weapon.

No motive has been released by police. The victim’s identification is not being released at this time.
