Artist Daniel Brickman is creating dog poop sculptures to spread a message along Nevada City’s Tribute Trail.
Brickman is among seven artists chosen to spruce up the area, and his idea came to him as he walked the trail. He found that there is dog poop everywhere, and not many owners bother to clean it up.
The gold dog-doo sculptures, made of clay, represent both the amount of dogs seen on the trail and that it’s in gold country.
Brickman will soon get to work on his sculptures, now that he has the approval of the Nevada City Council.
He added that this isn’t the first time he’s experimented with poop-themed art.
