DAVIS — Fish and Game crews captured a one-year-old male bear on the UC Davis campus after a sighting Tuesday morning.
Just after 7 a.m., the university sent out an alert via social media and text.
The bear was first seen in the area of Solano Park and Aboretum Drive. It was later spotted near the Hyatt Hotel on Old Davis Road.

Officials believe this is the same bear that was seen in Vacaville and Dixon on Monday.
Officials also said the 100-pound California black bear may have been looking for his own habitat, probably after being kicked out by his mother when she had her new cubs for the season.
The bear climbed a tree on campus. Authorities coaxed it lower and tranquilized it.
The bear fell around 30 feet but appeared to be OK after being assessed.
He was taken to a proper habitat for release.
