NEWCASTLE-
Sacramento Sheriffs detained three burglars that led them on a high speed chase on Tuesday morning.
According to deputies, it all started at the Walgreens on Sunrise Boulevard.
Three suspects attempted to rob the store, but ran when the alarm went off.
When deputies arrived to the scene, a pursuit down Madison Avenue ensued.
The chase continued onto I-80 before the suspects exited on Antelope Road.
They passed through Old Auburn Road and Sierra College Boulevard before hopping back onto I-80.
It is reported the driver exceeded speeds over 100 mph before crashing into a ditch at the Newcastle exit.
That’s when the three suspects were apprehended.
