Burglars Tried to Use City Bus as Getaway Car

Burglars led police on a chase near 55th Street and San Francisco Boulevard Labor Day afternoon.

Police were called after someone saw some suspicious looking men carrying duffel bags. Once at the scene, officers spotted the suspects near a bus stop, but the men took off.

Initially, one man was caught by police. A perimeter was set up and a second suspect was caught shortly after.

Less than an hour after the initial pursuit, the third suspect was caught. He was found with injuries to his hand, suggesting that he was climbing over barbed wire.

One officer sustained minor injuries during the pursuit and one home was found to have been burglarized.
