Governor Jerry Brown won an unprecedented fourth term Tuesday, with republican challenger Neel Kashkari conceding just minutes after the polls closed.

Rather than campaign for himself, Brown spent much of the election season pushing for Propositions 1 and 2. Both passed by large margins.

Proposition 1 is  $7.5 billion water bond, which pays for new reservoirs, environmental restoration and projects to recycle wastewater or saltwater, among other things.

Proposition 2 will create a “rainy day” fund for the state.
