REDDING — Authorities say they are searching for two women believed involved in the abduction of a Shasta County mother who has turned up safe in Woodland.

Shasta County Sheriff Tom Bosenko told reporters Thursday that indications are that Sherri Papini was released by her abductors three weeks after she disappeared.

Bosenko says the 34-year-old woman suffered unspecified injuries during her ordeal but was treated and released from a hospital.

Authorities released few other details about Papini’s reappearance near Interstate 5 in Yolo County.

Bosenko says an investigation was continuing.
