Unknown Odor Prompts Shelter in Place Order in Vallejo

VALLEJO — An unknown odor in the southern part of Vallejo has prompted a shelter in placer order.

Multiple people have been taken to the hospital as a result of the mysterious odor.

The city has activated its Emergency Operation Center. The Hazmat team has also been activated.

The city has advised all residents to shelter in place until the source of the odor is determined.

PG&E and public safety officials are working to determine the cause. No natural gas has been detected.
