Wildfire near Yosemite Burns 1,600 Acres

The Carstens Fire, burning less than 40 miles from the Yosemite National Park, has burned about 1,600 acres, according to Cal Fire.

Twenty-two firefighters from Sacramento County arrived at the fire Tuesday morning, and are said to be preparing for a very busy fight.

In all, more than 2,200 firefighters are at the scene and 150 homes were evacuated in the area. An evacuation center has been set up at Mariposa Elementary School.
