Cause Of Wragg Fire Determined

The Wragg Fire was reported July 22 around 2:24 p.m. off of Highway 128 near Wragg Canyon Road and the Lake Berryessa Dam.

Cal Fire Investigators found the wildfire was caused by a vehicle exhaust contacting dry grass. The grass ignited the surrounding brush and the vehicle.

The fire ended 4 miles west of the City of Winters and north of Mix Canyon Road near Vacaville.

The fire burned just over 8,000 acres destroying two outbuildings and damaging four outbuildings and a residence. The fire is now 100 percent contained.
