SACRAMENTO–

Neighborhood residents stood outside of the Serv-Rite convenience store Tuesday placing cards, candles, balloons and teddy bears on the front doorstep. “RIP Chuck,” one sign read.

People in the area identified Chuck Park as the store owner and victim of a robbery Saturday that took place inside the convenience store. Police say when Park tried to get away, the suspect stabbed him.

“It’s so sad to see him go. He was here for at least 20 years,” one resident said.

However, Sacramento Police confirmed Tuesday afternoon that the owner of Serv-Rite is alive and recovering.

His wife also confirmed to FOX40 Tuesday that Park is alive.

The Sacramento Police Department is still seeking a suspect, if you have any information, you are asked to give them a call.
