VACAVILLE —

Friday evening around 6:30 p.m., a couple from Pleasanton carjacked a Dodge car salesman in Vacaville while they were out on a test drive.

Shane Woodcock, 37, and Shawna McLemore, 33, told the salesman they needed to stop at a nearby bank to get a cashier’s check for the car purchase.

The pair went on to try and distract the salesman in an attempt to flee in the vehicle. When he tried to stop the pair, Woodcock threatened he had a gun.

Later an officer saw the suspects in the stolen vehicle going west on I-80.

A pursuit took place leading to the suspects exiting the freeway. They proceeded to abandon the car and flee on foot in the area of North Alamo Drive.

McLemore was found hiding in a shed and refused to surrender. Woodcock was found in the area; both suspects were arrested.

Woodcock and McLemore were booked into the Solano County Jail on conspiracy, stolen vehicle, carjacking, felony evading, resisting arrest and probation violation charges.
