Dixon Police Hunt Robbery SuspectsDIXON—

A third grader who apparently just wanted to look “cool” to his friends found himself in a lot of trouble Monday morning after he brought some bullets to school.

Dixon Unified School District Superintendent Brian Dolan told FOX40 that a student from Gretchen Higgins Elementary along Pembroke Way brought five bullets to school to show to his friends. Dolan says that the boy looks to have stolen the bullets from a relative of his.

Teachers were eventually alerted to the bullets when one of the boy’s friends gave a bullet that was given to him to his teacher – leading to Dixon Police and the boy’s family being called.

Dolan applauds the student who alerted his teacher for doing the right thing.

Dolan notes that the boy who brought the bullets to school looks to have learned his lesson. A message from the district was sent out to parents later in the day, informing them of the incident.
